http://i.imgur.com/ho8oTAA.jpg Simply brilliant and far more eloquent than how I presented it to my daughter but I got across the same message. I made damn sure she greater valued her true worth over that of her physical beauty* (A BEAUTY SHE HAD IN ABUNDANCE)... She as an adult has told me that inner strength helped her many, many times and thanked me for it. I reminded her that it was a gift from God which I merely pointed out for her to see and embrace. She drove down this weekend . Of course to see me but also for advice. Seems she has at her work a new office manager( large dentist office) that loads her with the duties the manger is paid to do. Wanted my advice on how to handle it without a big blow up and her possibly losing her job. I gave it and think it helped and relieved her from the stress she has been under for about three months now. Later found out she had herself pretty much already decided to do as I suggested but needed confirmation from somebody she trusted beyond measure. Damn nice to know that she at a very responsible 26 years of age still values so highly my opinion. Kids, raise 'em right and they never really leave ya.. -Tyr

IMO, the best thing a Dad can do for his daughter in this regard is to model these values, by himself treating women with respect and valuing the things mentioned above. And of course most of all, treating her Mom that way.
