So many of you might recall that I've wanted another kitten for like years now, but have always held back because of the evil woman. I knew the day would come, but I've tried my best to resist the temptation of a new kitty. But all along, I knew if the right one came along. I just knew it had to be a baby, and of course adorable, since the marriage is on the line of course! I can go grab this little fella in NJ anytime I want now. It's crunch time, and I think I'm going to make the leap and grab him. Any of you take me and this little guy in if I get tossed out by the weekend? :)

^Well with kittens nobody cares if you have more than one and it's pretty easy to keep refreshing with a younger model. :)

I figure I could hide him for a little while. I'll put his litter box and food on my dresser, and either lift him up there, or but a mini set of stairs for him to get up there. This would prevent the dogs from stealing his food, or eating his litter box goodies. :puke: At that age they do get a little mouthy, but it's a cute little meow, and I am all the way upstairs where she refuses to enter the "bacterial cesspool" I have going.

But I might need those stairs. Will definitely need food, treats, toys... and of course a vet visit. While I may be able to hide the kitty for a week, the woman monitors the bank accounts and credit accounts like a hawk. I think I'll do it and just push it in her face. How could anyone possibly be angry when looking at that kitten?

Oh well, such is my luck. I've been doing the back and forth with my sister. I reached out to my nephew, as it's his friend who has the kitten. He tells me that they are all gone now. WTF? They told me less than 3 hours ago, I immediately told them HOLD HIM. Questions were asked and answered, and now suddenly he is gone. :(

I feel like I knew the little guy already. :(

I'm bummed about this, so I took a quick spin to the local pet store. The guy said I would be number 9 on the list, 8 families ahead of me waiting on a kitten. WTF? I thought there were too many out there, now I can't find one to adopt. Well, I could, if I want a 2 year old cat, or older. I even went to petfinder to look for one. You even get to choose age, in which the youngest was "baby". There was a bunch of results from my area but the youngest was like 8 months old.

Bring the kitten home. Tell your wife if she complains, you'll get three. A few years back, I had the same issue with pinball machines. I bought three. My wife complained, so I bought twenty of them. You don't have to choose; just put your foot down.

The way things are going, you would be able to marry the kitten soon and have the best of both worlds ;)

Damn, you're a tough one. Bad enough whatever the consequences may be if I bring a kitten home. But 20 of them? LOL She would skin me alive!

Well, nothing wrong with that, now is there?

You just gotta know where to look.

You'll be down here in a couple of weeks right?

Jim, from the way you've described your little Devil Dog, do you think a kitten would be safe? And even if it is, I imagine there would be much added strife between the dog and the cat. Maybe after he is gone, you could revisit the cat idea?

ETA: It is about to be full-on kitten season. There will be tons of very young ones soon at all of the shelters.

Jeff has kittens too! I've already been warned by the wife that I had better not be returning with any new creatures though. Going to a visit in Georgia is how the Chihuahua got here. :)

It would actually be the other way around. I'm afraid a kitten/cat may harm on of either of the dogs bug eyes! I embellish the devilishness, my dogs are lovers! Jerome (Pug) loves anything that moves and would spend the entire day cleaning a cat. Porter on the other hand would want to play all the time, and he loves cats. That's why I wouldn't want to bring in a kitten any older than say about 8 weeks, this way the kitten grows up with them and would think they are ugly cats! LOL
