For those who don't know, that is the name of Nick Cannon's CD. And here is an accompanying picture of Nick in white-face:

Now, this does not bother me. I think we should all lighten up about racial and other non-PC comments. Everyone is so uptight about stuff these days it is ridiculous.

What DID bother me was that I heard Mr. Cannon say on TV that only some "overly-sensitive" people were offended by his choices here. Let's suppose for a minute that the situation was reversed, and this was a white musician in black-face and the CD was titled "Black People (fill in the blank with anything). Would Cannon or anyone else in the media still think it was ok? Would those who were offended by that be deemed over-sensitive?

If this CD starts us down the path of just getting over it when people "offend" us, then I will be thrilled. But I expect that is just dreaming.

What do you think?

I have no issue with it, although I can't stand him. And I don't think it should be a big deal when a white person does it either, but it almost always is.

I don't just think I know that the race card will be played against whitey until whitey is beaten down into submission to the blacks. That's their aim with it and its aided by the libs/leftists and dem party to secure that as a result.

The question is will we just lay down and take it?? I think most will because of ignorance, white guilt and PCness. While others like me will say enough someday and act... A man will not lay down like a coward and beg for mercy. Mercy that would never come. A real man will finally say, to hell with it all and justly decide to go out fighting. That is most likely the future that awaits us because evil never yields unless its forced to do so! And that force can only exist by way of fighting it IMHO. -Tyr

Personally. I have no problem with it. It's entertainment.

But, we all know. Certain members of Congress, or the NAACP would be totally up in arms if...A WHITE man, or woman used Blackface for the same reasons.

You do understand what I am saying? Don't you?

If not. Hypocrisy is very difficult to hide.

I have a problem with the fact that, if the shoe were on the other foot, people would be screaming racism and/or cultural insensitivity. It doesn't take much to pull up instances of college fraternities being punished for throwing mexican themed parties.

White people are supposed to see this as a joke and not take it seriously. But, god forbid anyone poke jokes at another racial groups stereotypes.
