Putting some teeth into contempt charges. That's a good thing and long overdue. He needs to be locked up, but I'll settle for his not being paid.

Yeah, long overdue.

I wonder if Obama will issue an EO to the Treasury to pay his main goon.

Never pass the Senate, never be signed by BO. Probably violates Due Process as well.

Says in the article that it only has to pass the House OR the Senate.

Seeing as the House is Republican, I think it'll pass.

Under the proposal, the contempt resolution would have to be adopted by either the House or Senate for the official to lose their pay. The GOP-led House voted in 2012 to hold Holder in contempt for failing to provide key information on Operation Fast and Furious.

I don't think the Senate has anything to do with this.

The resolution would only have to pass the House or Senate; the legislation authorizing it would have to be passed and signed first which won't be happening for at least 2 years, 9 months, and 4 days... give or take.

Yeah, probably have to wait till 2016 before we can see this implemented. But I think it's a damn good idea. Politicians should HAVE to respond to congress when summoned. And we know they'll be more cooperative if money is on the line, since that's why about 80% of them are there.
