I wasn't sure if this story was worth creating a thread for ... then I decided that maybe it belonged in the 'Humor' section.

In the UK, a barber decided to go in for a bit of promotion of his business, and had a bit of fun at the same time. So ... he stuck a poster in his shop window, showing .....

This didn't please the North Koreans ... who happened to have an embassy situated not many minutes' travelling distance from the shop. So, the story has it that the embassy sent a couple of officials to the shop to demand that he immediately take down the 'offending' poster.

The barber told the officials what they could do with themselves, instead .. refusing (initially, anyway) to yield to their demands of him. Though apparently he did do so, after a time ... his customers told him to put it back again ..

An account of the story is here .....

Well, the fat little tyrant does enough to attract such deserved derision. Mock on! :)

His customers should tell him, put the poster back up or we'll boycott.

He should tell the Nk's he'll take it down when they cancel their nuke test.

I know the British govt is liberal and stupid, but why is there an NK embassy there?

Couldn't agree more - though I'm guessing that the interactions between the business owner and his customers were more amiable, and he was more than willing to listen to what they wanted.

I know the same thing about them ... despite its being a mostly Conservative Government !!

As to when the embassy was first established - surprise, surprise. It was our SOCIALISTS who first welcomed them here .. back in 2003, I believe. The embassy, ludicrously, is just a reasonably well-to-do house, in a good neighbourhood in Ealing, West London, I believe. They've got ordinary British residents living in the same street. Apparently if it wasn't for the Korean flagpole outside, you'd be hard pressed to even recognise it as an embassy building.

I wonder what having a North Korean embassy in the same street has done for property prices there ? Have they taken a nosedive ? Must check sometime  ...

One point, though. The location of the embassy, as well as the barber shop, these are both reasonably close to Wimbledon. As in, the tennis Wimbledon.

Maybe that explains the embassy. When the Wimbledon tournament is televised in a couple of months from now, see if you can spot a crowd of Asian-looking gits sporting dodgy haircuts amongst the spectators. Maybe Kim Senior and Kim Junior were/are secret tennis fans ?

Sir Drummond. I wonder if you have PILSBERRY products from the USA there?

If so. You must be familiar with OUR Pillsberry Dough Boy in advertisements.

And seeing that photo of the little, chubby, miserable N.K. Kim-UN, is merely an INSULT to all Pillsberry Products.

Even the DOUGH BOY must hang his head in shame, knowing the UN-ONE is alive.
