I tried to grab some photos here and there but I suck in remembering to take pics, or knowing how to take them for that fact! :) There's a bunch of my own, and my Dad gave me some, so I'll just post some here and there since I'm lazy.

The first one is our first stop on Saturday morning for breakfast. The sausage wasn't all that great but the 40 pounds of bacon I ate was absolutely awesome! The diet went out the window this week.

My new friend "DD", who is a MONSTER and only about 6 months old. Jeff originally named her "Dead Dog" as they thought she wouldn't make it past the day of birth, but as you can see she is doing well, so the name was shortened!

Ok, moving on, here are some more shitty pictures I attempted to take!!! :)

Here is my brother, John, aka Sir Evil from posting here

Here is DD again, just perfectly happy to walk across her Mommy, Chaos, and just lounge right on top of her!

2 friends I made where we went fishing. The one was huge, and they were very friendly and walked right up to us.

I was kind enough to remember someone here from the board that I won't mention. Thought of her immediately when I saw a "horse's ass"

This is the kitten Jeff is keeping for himself, apparently the heat got to her too!

A few pictures of the Italian Ice gal. She let us have a free taste, which sold me on the Mango ice, which was in fact great. Yes, she was a cutie. She had a milk carton of sorts with her that said "college fund" on it. Jeff asked her about it and she said she graduated shortly prior. Said she was doing this job for 4 years. I figured she must be a hard worker to do that crap for so long, and paying her debts. I paid for the ices and gave her a $5 tip. Well, about an hour later walking we found another gal selling ices about a block away. Oddly enough, she had a college fund going too! Jeff asked her about it and she started cracking up. I think I was taken, fell for a cutie with the oldest trick in the book.

But I must add, as she was making the ices, she leaned very far forward to scoop so that you could peek down her shirt. Being the gentleman that I am, I of course turned my back. Jeff said they were tiny but that he appreciated them anyway. I felt for that reason that maybe the tip was appropriate, based on Jeff's ogling. :coffee:

Can't even begin to tell you guys how good it was to spend some time. It sucks to only be able to see everyone but once per year, twice if we're lucky. And as much as the FIFTEEN hour ride sucks, it's well worth it to see family. And yes, 7 hours one day and 8 the other, as Jim likes to stop often! :)

I think once a year with you is ample, in fact if we wait two years I think I might be able to endure another week of you!

Nah, you behaved better than expected. Was a great trip and pretty good pics.

I hate you, and I don't like being a passenger in my own truck while you are driving. But I don't want to be a passenger in my truck with anyone else driving. Nor be a passenger in any vehicle. And me saying I hate someone is a term of endearment. But you do need to slow down when getting off of exit ramps. That's a Toyota 4 Runner I own, not a Corvette. And the majority of your ashes are still in my truck. And the lines are there to separate lines, not for you to see how long the right tire can drive over them. And I drive like a pro with my knees, so stop grabbing that damn handle when you hallucinate and think I'm going to crash and kill us.

Not sure, looking up in second. I'm sure hjmick will know more and give us some input...

Looks like a great place to visit. It'd definitely make a big change from my other US visits, which have all centred around the NY/Hartford areas on the East Coast.

I'm working full time right now, but fully intend to retire fairly soon. My travelling will begin in earnest once I have that time to spare ...

Yes it is. It's a beauty.

And your Cuban sandwich just happens to be from one of the ten best grocery stores in the U.S., Publix...

Drummond, Condé Nast Traveler's Reader's Choice awards put Charleston in the number one spot to visit in the U.S., and it was ranked by the same poll as number five globally.

For whatever that's worth.

I've lived here for almost two years now and love it. Prior to Charleston I lived in Albuquerque and Coastal California. I really like Charleston...

I love all those pictures. Sir Evil looks almost exactly liked I had pictured him. I had already seen a pic of Jeff and his lovely wife.
Loved the family shot most of all. Of course, I am always up for pictures of attractive men. :cheers2:

I bought when when I stayed with my in-laws while in Florida and was shocked by how great it tasted. So I bragged about it when I saw it in SC and had to try another. Just as awesome! Sir Evil wouldn't buy one as pork wasn't listed on the package, which technically should be part of the sandwich. I'd still say it was near perfect!!

- My 2 friends live in Goose Creek. Had I known you were there too, I would have saved us some traffic aggravation and met there. My friend owns a small restaurant called "Little Havana" and makes the best Cuban sandwich in the world! He has the huge press machine and the best meats. And we would have had free shots of Patron tequila and all other drinks for free too!!

All I can tell you for sure is that it's in a strip mall environment, but I can't remember what other stores were there. Inside it's just like 10 booths of chairs and then about another 14 seats or so at the bar. But what matters is that the food is awesome, as is the prices - and the friendliness is through the roof. And if he knew you were a friend he probably would go further to make sure you were happy and not charge you. :)
