Tunes that will be heard by many, and appreciated by most. Much of which is thanks to the internet and youtube

This is one that I think many know, which has made it a timeless tune. IMO

This one always gives me a peaceful feeling. And reminds me of how much I miss the ocean.

A song that may have been missed by many, if not for youtube and message boards like this one, to share music

It's not so much the song that is timeless... but seriously, I do believe this song would be loved anytime. :coffee:

I would not consider this timeless, but it just grabs something in me - really like it even though I'm not into this type of music. Steampunk genre.

Sleep, child, sleep
Sleep, child, sleep
Daylight is waiting
Consciously fraying
Sleep, my child

Sleep, sleep, my Isabella
Safely in your carousel-a
Sleep through the spinning,
Just like your beginning
Sleep, my child.

Dance, child, dance
Dance, child, dance
Nighttime's awaiting
Dreamtimes are fraying
So dance, child, dance

Dance, dance, my Isabella
Staying in your own carousel-a
Spin through the dreaming
Your whole world decieving
Dance, my child.

Sleep, child, sleep
Sleep, child, sleep
Daylight is waiting
Consciously fraying
And sleep, my child

Sleep, sleep, my Isabella
Safely in your carousel-a
Sleep through the spinning,
Just like your beginning
Sleep, my child.

`Scene from the movie kill bill. Uma Thurman's driving the car at the end of the movie during the credits. Great scene from the film with the music of Goodnight Moon`

I met and talked to Petty at a club in Memphis -70's , back when he was not famous(was a nobody). I was drunker than Cooter Brown , told him he'd be a legend some day.
His reply was, a simple, "yes , I know"... even me drunk as hell and on pain pills I saw that confidence. Can not remember the clubs name, maybe it was High Rollers . I was wasted a lot back then my memory not too clear on dates and places but that's about the time..
We both were right.
Bouncer there , Dave was a friend of mine and introduced us.
Dave later got into drugs in a big way and was found dead several years later in an alley shot 5 times in the back, apparent drug deal gone bad.. --Tyr

For my money, Enya produces beautiful music ... the voice is superb, the music itself stunning. Great music to soothe a troubled soul ..

Try these out ...

Granny. Funny how I remember them so well, but never heard this one. Only one I remember is "Stop children, what's that sound".

Great memories though. The Sixties will never be matched, or beat. EVER.

I've seen Charlie 5 times and always a good show. Saw him once opening for George Jones. Here's one of my favorites, that always brings a smile.

Here's the two versions, my goodness how time changed in 15 years.

The only reason I thanked your post AT, is it brought back memories. I absolutely hated this song when it came out, but my Mom loved it and she played it over an over an over!!!

Hail!!! She might be listenin to it now.

granny. Funny. I know exactly what you mean. I hated to hear it too! But when it was so popular. Everybody seemed to be singing it...and never admitted they hated it!

Just like my sister used to play "SOLDIER BOY" over, and over. Then all the PAT BOONE stuff that made ya feel like gaggin' as she and her girlfriends Ooo'd and Ahhh'd for hours.

Sorry to put you thru the punishment.....again!:laugh2:
