This is how it starts. Nero will make little meowing noises being friendly. He lays down and rolls around, sometimes laying on his back and "talks" to Porter. The dog will slowly circle him, as he knows the kitty has claws. The cat keeps eye contact, but just continues to roll around like he wants to be friends. Eventually Porter will get daring and go in and sniff him. The cat is still cool about it. He sniffs him a second time. Then he gets hit in his snout and head like 23 times in less than 2 seconds and the cat runs like hell! Then the cat returns like 3 minutes later and tries to be friendly again. This time Porter growls at him and chases him out of the room. They love one another already, but have an odd way of showing it!!

Lol...I have a male cat that plays with the dog (a Maltipoo female). He'll run into the room and past the dog daring her to chase him. She does. My female black cat wants nothing to do with the dog, however. She's just not a dog person.

Cats are weird that way, they sometimes want to egg on the dogs, get them to play or chase them, but then the little bastards will beat them up though! Does yours play nice with the dog? Mine plays nice enough so far, I was exaggerating... but after a $5k surgery and endless expenses since then, due to a cat scratch to my Pug's eye from my last black cat, I get a tad nervous.

I think male cats tend to be a little more playful and outgoing, at least from the cats I've owned over the years, and that was probably about 30 of the little bastards! One of my last cats though, "Mischa", was a baby when I introduced her to the Pug and she LOVED him. And then again, maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about! LOL

My dog thought he was a cat, I swear. All my cats loved him. I miss him so bad. He gave me a good 18 years. When he was gone my cats looked for him, and stayed by his bed for the longest time. Even after I removed the bed

My cat is about to have kittens any day, if anyone wants a kitten I will ship, heck I hear they make good Chicken Chow mein

Seriously I have a 80 to 90 lb Bully that thinks the 2 cats we have in the house are her friends, she goes to lick them and one lick and they look like they just came out of the shower

My mom has always had cats, she likes them unsocial and haughty , I swear she actually looks for those qualities when picking one out.

They have always been under the impression that they are the owner and she is there to take care of them and do their bidding.

Give me a dog any day, they're always excited to see you. Even if you've only been gone for a minute.
