Accused members of the Bloods and Crips street gangs, a police officer and two pawn shop owners were among the 44 people indicted Tuesday on a bevy of charges including racketeering conspiracy, attempted murder and drug and weapons crimes after a 14-month investigation into gang activity in New Jersey, authorities say.
A Monmouth County grand jury handed down the 219-count indictment after several law enforcement agencies looked into gang activity along two dead-end streets in Asbury Park in an effort they dubbed “Operation Dead End,” prosecutors say. Several of those charged in the indictment had been arrested during a large sweep earlier this year.

What? Only one cop! Surely must have been more. They tend to work in little roach like groups..... One finds a money making score with criminals and lets his buddies in on it.
I suspect that about 30% of big city cops are dirty to one degree or another.. Even more so than small town police because big cities have greater opportunities for larger illegal bribery.
I know for a fact that dirty cops are just criminals that got a uniform to cover up their activity.
I've seen lots of it in my line of work as a young man.. Additionally I knew the bad crowd and hung with a lot of them because they liked having me around to brag about their exploits to since they respected my fighting abilities.
Had many, many offers to join in on crimes but refused all because I knew eventually about 90% always get caught sooner or later-then serve time in prison..
Prison was no place for me and my youthful addiction(girls).. ;)--Tyr
