Wow, this warming things is infectious and traveling quickly!!

----

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesotans are preparing for Old Man Winter as the season’s first major storm threatens to dump more than a foot of snow Monday on a swath of the state, including the metro.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for a stretch of several counties, including the Twin Cities metro area. The storm will move in from the west, dropping up to 2 inches of snow an hour as it marches across the state.

Siberian Express to Bring -30 deg. F to Wyoming

Even though it’s still early November, a January-like cold wave just entering Montana and the Dakotas on Sunday will bring 30 below zero temperatures to scattered locations in Montana and Wyoming by Wednesday morning.

The cold will fill the nation’s midsection by mid-week, with no let up in sight. The coldest air to arrive in a series of reinforcing surges is still a week away.

I saw ABC News last week trying to blame this cold snap on the hurricane that's in the arctic.

Never mind it's actually the jet stream and something known as winter, that causes cold snaps.

They feel they have to distort everything, to blame it all on evil greedy American mankind's combustion fetish.

I remember one Thanksgiving, a couple of years ago, where me and my gf had to have the AC on while we were cooking TG dinner cause it was so warm outside. So this winter blast is coming unusually early this year. We usually don't get temps that low until around Christmas or in Jan-Feb.

With global warming like that we had all better buy bigger air conditioners and barrels of suntan lotion...

Al Bore made out like a bandit peddling that scam and its still marching on gathering new victims and new gullible morons to believe it..
Would be funny as hell if the consequences of that agenda being pushed were not so dire and destructive to our prosperity and freedoms!! -tyr

It's that huge storm that's beating up the Aleutians right now... they had sustained 70 mph and gusts to 95 mph. It's a massive high-pressure system, so as it works its way up the Aleutians it's displacing all the cold arctic air down over Canada and into the midwest. It's going to get a hell of a lot colder down there, too.

The good news is that it was 45 degrees and raining here in my part of Alaska today! :happy0203:

Yup Global warming has found it's way to the sunny south as well, 75 for the high tomorrow and 47 come Saturday with the lows Friday night at 27, yea that is normal winter weather here, but it usually starts in January or February. Hell the TV showed snow on the ground in Columbia SC last week ( if they see snow at all it is usually once a year and well into Feb. or maybe March ) and according to my Dad that doesn't live far he tells me everything was covered white, usually in SC there storms cover the grass but it is to warm to stick to the roads, Al Gore your right on buddy.

Yup that Global warming is really heating things up

(CNN) -- An early blast of cold air will leave more than half of the United States shivering into the weekend.
About 200 million people will be affected by the severe cold, CNN meteorologist Pedram Javaheri said.
The unseasonably cold temperatures associated with an arctic air mass will continue to surge southward through the central United States.
Temperatures are forecast to be 20 to 40 degrees below climate average for areas east of the Rockies into the Great Plains.
The cold air will move toward the South by Wednesday morning, bringing freezing temperatures as far south as Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.
It will reach the East Coast by Thursday, forecasters said.

Yep....it's a DRY cold. Try the cold of the South (which bites even in 45 degrees much of the time). I have had several military friends/teachers/family who were in Alaska and they were in shorts while the snow was all around. HA! I thought they were tough till they told me that it is not the same "cold" as here in the South. Of course, even sub zero weather is cold (dry or wet cold). That is a reason that I would never live in Alaska.....even though I LOVE that State.

Yeah, and he still makes a killing by killing our economy and our freedoms. He's a traitor through and through and I'd like to see him and B.O. trip and break their necks while exiting their private jets that make GOREbal warming even worse. Park the jets, guys.....we can't take any more of this COLD Gorebal warming!!!!

Yup it is really heating up around here

Autumn isn’t done, so why has winter sprung?
An arctic blast is turning large swaths of the country from the Pacific Northwest through the Plains into the Midwest into a veritable winter wonderland earlier than expected this year.
Winter storm Bozeman drifted over the continental U.S. Thursday, pouring snow and freezing rain – as many Americans looked on in disbelief.
“Much of the country is being affected by the cold with this arctic air mass,” meteorologist Brian Hurley told Yahoo News.
Hurley, of the Weather Prediction Center in College Park, Md., explained that a low-pressure disturbance off the west coast brought wintry weather to the Pacific Northeast and worked its way across the Intermountain West.

I truly look forward to the evenin weather forecast, it's like a segment of entertainment tonight, what with all the sensationalizin of each drop of rain, wind gust, leaves fallin, snow flurryin, grass growin, pollen floatin, not to mention the theatrics of weathermen themselves, it makes for must watch TV!!!

It's 0 degrees here in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Yep, it's cold.. but it's not fucking cold yet. It'll be -40 soon, just as it always is every year in Fairbanks.

My quad-cab 2500 HD Chevy isn't warming it up, along with the 5500 Chevy my co-worker is driving. We've been doing our best by leaving them idling all day, but so far no dice.

-40? Fuck that! My ass would be moving, or of course simply sleeping in for 6 months like a bear.

In my town, you can get a ticket of you idle for longer than 3 minutes. And yep, I've had a couple of whiners over the years say something, quickly met in reply with "fuck off".
