They had a service in Fairbanks, then tossed his coffin in the back of a pickup truck, and drove 120 mls to bury him on some property he owns up in the hills...

These are not clickable for a larger size...I wish they were..

The railroad blocked off the train tressel so people could ride their four wheelers on the tracks, and keep track if any trains where coming..Mikes property was on the other side of the tressel, about four mils up some damn rough riding...
The railroad also loaded Mikes coffin onto one of their trucks and took it over the tressel, along with some of the older folks with us...
Most people drove their four wheelers up to Mikes proberty..Trucks can go there, but you better be prepared to get a new paint job afterwards..

West Virginia funerals are similar. They tend to bury folks on the tops of hills, inaccessible by anything other than walking. Its considered an honor to dig the grave, and usually takes several guys due to the rock and such.
