Dang I feel for these people, what a shame, but I still have to say I thought they outlawed guns so that this wouldn't happen, lets face it people there is evil everywhere and they will find a way to do there deed no matter the laws, May these poor folk's R.I.P.

Eight dead children and a woman suffering from serious stab wounds were found inside a northern Australian home Friday, police say.
Police believe the 34-year-old woman found with chest wounds is the mother of seven children with the eighth child believed to be a relative.
Queensland state police were called to to the home in the Cairns suburb of Manoora Friday after receiving a report of a woman with serious injuries. When police entered the house, they found the bodies of the children, ranging in age from 18 months to 15 years.

Coming from a society which has some of the toughest gun laws on the planet (I've only ever handled a gun once in my life, and I was out of the UK at the time !) ... I can tell you that this means one thing. Law-abiding citizens are unlikely to own guns. Criminals, however, DO.

I envy you your Constitutional rights !

A great point.

I can't adequately tell you how annoying it is to live in a society where you have to rely for your own sense of security on what the STATE feels like providing !!

Criminals, terrorists, they're not going to respect the law, so they'll use every underhand method they can to get the weapons they want. Here ... the more respectful you are of the law, the greater the likelihood that you're compromising your ability to deter criminal aggressors.

It's completely nuts. But, as happens when a Society has been infected for generations by Socialist c**p, the worth of the individual, rights ditto, not only go down the toilet .. but people get conditioned to accept it all.

Value your Constitution (... which we have no equivalent of). Give your Lefties half a chance, and they'll find all sorts of backdoor ways to circumvent it.

Apparently the police believe there to be no danger to the public and the matter to be contained. Sounds like another tragic case of family member going berserk.
