Retired climate professor admits global warming will not destroy Earth
http://www.nationalreview.com/phi-beta-cons/396004/retired-climate-professor-admits-global-warming-will-not-destroy-earth-jennifer

A retired professor and glacier expert has publicly declared global warming a good thing. He also refuses to go along with many of his scientific peers who he says have urged him to be in lockstep with former Vice President Al Gore – “the drum major in the parade denouncing global warming as an unmitigated disaster.”Apparently when science professors retire, they finally get to say what’s really on their mind.
“You will never read or hear any of this from the scientific and political establishments,” Dr. Terry Hughes, professor emeritus of earth sciences and climate change at the University of Maine, told (http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/20751/) The College Fix. “I’m now retired, so I have no scientific career to protect by spreading lies.”
He said he thinks dire global warming predictions are really all about lassoing federal research funding and votes.
“Too many (the majority) of climate research scientists are quite willing to prostitute their science by giving these politicians what they want,” the glaciologist added.
His reasons for why global warming is a good thing, Hughes told (http://www.capjournal.com/news/glacier-scientist-global-warming-is-good-not-bad/article_aa90050a-8cb6-11e4-9e64-1728d2da4389.html) the Capital Journal, is that “atmospheric CO2 would greatly increase agricultural production,” “thawing permafrost would increase by one-seventh Earth’s landmass open to extensive human habitation,” and “if the sea level did rise, there would be a global economic boom,” among other arguments.
Hughes told (http://www.thecollegefix.com/post/20751/) The College Fix he has sent copies of his arguments to his former colleagues at the University of Maine and at NASA. Most of them “probably disagree,” he said, but added that they all receive funding for climate research.

along the same lines but not quite outta the sinking CC ship yet.

IPCC Insider Rejects Global-Warming Report (http://www.nationalreview.com/article/374986/ipcc-insider-rejects-global-warming-report-alec-torres)
Richard Tol says alarmism is wrong.

Richard Tol, a professor of economics at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom and an expert on climate change, removed his name from the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. While he considers much of the science sound and supports the underlying purpose of the IPCC, Tol says the United Nations agency’s inflammatory and alarmist claims delegitimize the IPCC as a credible and neutral institution.

“In the SPM [Summary for Policymakers], and much more largely in the media, we see all these scare stories,” Tol tells National Review Online. “We’re all going to die, the four horsemen of the apocalypse . . . I felt uncomfortable with the direction [the IPCC report] was going.”

But...but...but Al Gore says we are all gonna die if the world doesn't cough up 90 trillion dollars to redesign cities to get rid of cars. (http://www.citymetric.com/transport/al-gore-thinks-we-should-spend-90trn-designing-cars-out-cities-673)

Thank goodness that moron never became president.

Is there anyone, anywhere that truly believes true scientific processes are followed when the scientists are being funded by a benefactor (whether it is the government or philanthropist)? Look at how Edison operated as an example. "Peer review" doesn't mean crap either when ALL the "peers" are on the same payroll.

Yep.

I'm pretty sure that 100% of phone 'psychics' operating 900 numbers will tell you it's completely legit.

I was up at 4 am, lucky enough to catch Obama's presser with PM of India. If he bullied our MUSLIM allies on pressuring their clerics like he is on 'Climate change' directives, we probably wouldn't have such problems with terrorists.

He mentioned 'climate change' at least 10 times in the span of probably 5 minutes.

Not positive but I think he still has the muslims, the leftist/libs, the blacks and the gays...along with the greenies.. the government leeches will never leave him!
And some very "special , select terrorist groups are still with him.
Iran being a prime example since he works to insure they get those " peaceful nukes"!! --
Special select terrorist groups enjoy his use of our military to aid them by striking their opposition over there.
He does nothing good for this nation, nothing.. -Tyr
