Jim,
Wow! That looks so nice! I want to move down where you live. I have so much snow in my backyard that my stupid dog has been lost in the snow for three days. From the sound of his whimpering, I estimate that he is no more than 10' from the back door. You would think that a full grown St. Bernard could burrow at least 10'. Heck, there was only 40" on the ground when he went out there. Lots more snow out there now. Stupid dog.

Poor doggy!! LOL

My dogs barely leave the porch area. Well, the old Pug just walks about 3 feet from the back door and does his business, and I have to cleanup every time as he refuses to even go down the stairs anymore. The Chihuahua goes down the stairs, but then that's it, he won't go further than I shoveled as he's too small and will sink!

Well, I think the dog is ok now .... the whimpering stopped about 10 minutes ago. Now I am worried about the cat. Let it out to go find the dog two days ago and haven't heard nor seen it since.

It's not the snow you hate; it's the low quality of life in New York State. I bet you would enjoy Alaska for example.

Woke up to the sound of thunder and the pounding of rain on the roof.

A check of the rain gauge tells me we got an inch of the wet stuff. The grass is greener already.

So I guess I'll be riding the mower this weekend.

I hate the politics here, but outside that, and the snow, NY isn't so bad. But yeah, I would love to be in Alaska, somewhere down south, or believe it or not, somewhere in Cali like SD where it's awesome temps all year round. I'm going to deal with idiots no matter where, so might as well get better weather with it!

i'd love 2ft of snow, maintained from about the day after TGiving until about Saint Valentine's Day.

Moochers, just now out the kitchen window. Late this afternoon they will be back with 15 or so friends.

Sweet, I wish I had cool animals that came to visit me. All I get are squirrels and pigeons.

Too much snow up North east. Reasons why I moved south of the Mason-Dixon.

Last serious snowfall I was in was 7 feet in 10 days. That will last me the rest of my life, thank you very much.

Dang it's to early for mowing grass. I love to cut with the riding mower but man we have at least month before I need to worry about it.

It's not too bad where I hang my hat these days.

Lord, I was born a ramblin' man,
Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the best I can.
And when it's time for leavin',
I hope you'll understand,
That I was born a ramblin' man.
