There were no “shades of gray” to a controversial “Saturday Night Live” sketch about a girl joining ISIS that sparked an online debate about whether the comedy show crossed a line.

The skit, which opens with "50 Shades of Grey" star Dakota Johnson saying goodbye to her dad at what appears to be an airport, lampoons a recent commercial for Toyota Camry.

I don't know, I thought that was pretty funny when they started shooting and doing that Taliban Tongue Flapping at the end.

Besides, no Dad in his right mind would let his daughter join ISIS - let alone admonishing a terrorist to "take care of my daughter." Just a nonsensical SNL skit.

If you can't laugh at the savages and some of the idiots running over to join and get bombed, who can you laugh at?

*Her infiltrating the savages... (using their own game plan)...then shooting them in the back would have been better..

SNL has become the "progressive" icon for leftist shows that are based on how to present comedy that is never really funny.... but (or because) it is mostly focused on presenting and promoting a leftist-biased political agenda. The "Thanks, Dad, we'll take it from here" also fits right into the left's fascist fascination with the "It takes a village" mentality, whereby the state and/or big government can and should raise your kids and will even do a better job than you ever could.

Like everything the left presents as entertainment these days....it sucks big ones.

You do realize that not all rebels were/are ISIS, just as not all rebels were Al Qaeda way back when? Taking quotes, altering/editing them to make points isn't really funny. It's for stupid, uneducated people, of which you are not.

No different than me saying that your hero. Bill Clinton aided and helped Bin Laden escape in the late 90's by refusing him being delivered when he WAS in custody, so that he could further his terrorism and hit the towers in 2001.

I thought it was stupid funny, about the same as the rest of the show.
