That's right, another damn ^&%^$*^&&% 4 to 6 inches of snow overnight and I just had to shovel again. :(

My brother John was here for the weekend and had to bail early yesterday when the snow started so that he could get home safely. I thought it would stop soon after. It didn't. It was still snowing when I went to bed last night. Have I told any of you that I hate snow, and that I hate shoveling? And I still may not get out of my driveway as I put out all the salt I had and it may not be enough. I think I went through a few tons of that crap so far this year.

AND I went out early yesterday, since the roads were finally dry, and got my truck washed. :(

If it makes you feel any better, it's in the 40's and raining here. It's been raining for the past 3 days and will continue through tomorrow.

Next week though, back to 70's. Between tomorrow-Sunday, 60's.

Seeing others suffering as well is always satisfying, but I'm not sure rain and the 40's qualify!! :)

We hit 44 on Wednesday, but outside of that it's all around the 30ish area. Snow again tomorrow evening, but only around an inch or so.

Don't feel bad. Come here to NY - you have a place to stay for free, free food - and I'll let you have ALL of my snow, and of course any and all shoveling duties. This will apply to next year too.

We are getting almost as much snow as NY, but, the difference is, I love it. I wish we had more!

Well that white stuff hit here yesterday! Arrggg!

Huge white flakes! Luckily it melted once it stopped snowing. The mountains though look like someone took a huge sugar shaker to them!

Hit 74 here yesterday and they where calling for like 62, today its 59 right now and they are calling for 49 as a high and tomorrow they are calling for 75, so your guess is as good as any but anything beats all that snow you are getting Jim.

Snow ended Monday morning with another 5", today snow starting mid afternoon turning to sleet & freezing rain, Wednesday calling for rain, and on Thursday 4"-8" more inches of snow and possibly greater than that. And people asking; aren't you glad February is over?

Weather states 1-3 for today with another inch of ice on top of it tonight. I hate ice too.

And now we were just notified that schools are closed today. Started a little while ago and we are expecting 3-5 today. It never ends. :(

I was talking to my brother yesterday, he'd just come back from FL for 5 days. It was about 10 degrees below normal down by the Gulf, but he was still grateful. He said, "We just had the coldest February recorded in IL. Believe me, that sucked."

I really don't think I could deal with that again, I'm cold at 50 degrees!

I feel for ya James, it was 76 here yesterday and 65 today, but where y'all are getting hammered with snow we are getting rain, for ever one nice sunny day we are getting 5-6 rainy days, it's so bad that I couldn't get either bike out yesterday when the weather was beautiful, my yard is a swamp and you remember the driveway.

Best part though is 2 weeks ago we had that ice storm and than our huge snow storm ( about a 1/8 of a inch, of course it was enough for early out one day and school closed all together the next  ) and now like yesterday it was absolutely beautiful, if we could just lose the rain I would be thrilled.

My heart almost exploded from shoveling the slush/ice/snow yesterday. It was like 4 inches but HEAVY as hell. And you know my driveway on it's angle. But I had to get the truck out. Now today, they canceled schools and texted me at 5am. But I also don't think it's just going to melt. We have like 700 feet on the lawn!! :)

Just took a couple of snapshots of it snowing. I don't think you can even see that it's snowing, but coming down hard now. The first is out the side door for the doggies towards the street...

I wish I had deer that came daily! A friend of mine lives on a lake in northern NJ and has like 30 deer come to her backyard daily. She buys like 300lbs of feed monthly. Of course they may not like it when the Chihuahua chases them though!

And I hear ya about the ice/sleet, that royally sucked. Sounds like you got some more snow than we did prior though!

Yeah the sleet really sucked. Had to wait a couple of hours for it to unfreeze from the deck & walks before I could get it all up. The driveway had to stay the mess that it was though.

I actually salted first and waited an hour. It didn't clean the mess, but made it MUCH easier for shoveling, as it loosens things and breaks apart the ice part, and whatever may actually be stuck to the cement. After an hour. just push and it left pavement underneath. Still heavy as all hell though!

We only got a couple of inches+ (record snowfall...lol) and it's already melting under the bright, cloudless sky, sunshine. Here's hoping that this was winter's last gasp cause I've about had it this year. We've had winter since November (it started early this year) and between me, the two cats and the pooch....we're all about to go nuts with cabin-fever. Bring on the spring!!!!!

Gabs last year we had under 2 inches and Atlanta was a stand still, people spent the night in their cars as did kids on school buses. But I must admit this last storm they predicted the highway crews where riding around loaded and ready 8 hours before the storm hit.
