Came across this article on toilet paper, what made me think of you were the 'tips' links at the bottom of article.

When we aimed to end the "under or over" debate (http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/home/organizing/tips/a27506/right-way-to-hang-toilet-paper/) when it came to toilet paper, we polled every expert at our disposal.
Our home design director Sarah Richardson (http://www.sarahrichardsondesign.com/) argued that hotels can't be wrong (those neat little folded triangles need to be "over"). An analyst in the Good Housekeeping Institute (http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/institute/about-the-institute/)'s Cleaning Lab always assumed that "over" was more sanitary, since the paper was furthest from the wall. And a very vocal group of readers (https://www.facebook.com/40241492597/posts/10153220996142598) seemed to be steadfastly in favor of the "over" method.

But maybe we should have done what any good sleuth or thesis-writing college student does: return to the original source. Engineer-turned-writer Owen Williams found the 1891 patent for toilet paper (https://twitter.com/ow/status/577665896241504256/photo/1) (pause: just imagine a time before toilet paper), and it's clear how the inventor intended it to hang.

Those on Team Over may have yet another way to back their case, but we're guessing this finding won't end all household squabbles. After all, an "under" person might point out that, like acid-wash jeans and "healthy cigarettes (http://designtaxi.com/news/357121/Vintage-Healthy-Cigarette-Ads-Promoted-Smoking-In-The-Past/)," there are certainly some things that history got wrong.

Jim's TP

I'm no gymnast and can't reach behind me! I mostly just stand it up like that but on the roll holder. If I take the time to fully put it in the roll holder, then when done I need to reverse the process to toss it out, and reverse again to put a new one on. With my way, no mess no fuss. Just give the cat the old roll and lay the new one down. :coffee:
