View Full Version : Iran torpedoes nuke talks, U.S. relents, gives mullahs more time to build their Bomb

After months where the issue of Iran sending its enriched uranium out of the country has been floated, with Iran neither agreeing nor disagreeing, now they have announced there s no way they will do it.

The act of delaying this announcement until the day before the talks were supposed to conclude, makes it clear that Iran never intended to "agree" to anything. They are attending these talks simply to delay the United States and other countries, so they can gain more time to build their own atomic Bomb.

Expect the United States to meekly go along with this plan, granting more time "for more talks". The idea that they are giving Iran exactly what they want, is never mentioned in any media.

And the U.S. continues to pretend that Iran really wants to "solve the problem".

How a nation as strong as the U.S. can continue to negotiate from a position of such weakness, is one of the crowning mysteries of our time.

Unless you consider that perhaps the goals of the present administration may be the same as those of the mullahs.

In that case, this course of negotiate-negotiate-negotiate, "two steps forward and two steps back" (which has now gone on for years), makes perfect sense.

Iran Refuses to Give Up Core Nuke Materials

Iran backs away from key concession as talks hit deadline

Lausanne, Switzerland — Iran is refusing to relinquish its stockpiles of enriched nuclear materials, throwing a potential complication into negotiations that are set to expire tomorrow, according to senior State Department officials and Iranian diplomats.

Iran rejected on Monday ongoing demands by Western powers that it export to Russia its stockpiles of enriched uranium, the key component in a nuclear bomb.

The issue has emerged as a sticking point in talks over the last day, with Iran now rejecting any potential compromise on this front. The State Department said that the issue has been up in the air for months, according to sources close to the negotiations.

“The export of stocks of enriched uranium is not in our program, and we do not intend sending them abroad,” Abbas Araqchi, an Iranian negotiator and diplomat, was quoted as telling the country’s state-run press. “There is no question of sending the stocks abroad.”

A subsequent New York Times article claiming that discussions over the issue have hit a wall in the last day prompted the State Department to reveal that negotiations over the export of uranium have been stuck for quite some time.

Same tactics that the VietCong employed back during Vietnam.

Negotiate in circles, drawing it out as long as possible in order to buy more time - all the while rushing forward at a frenzied speed behind the scenes to take advantage of a safe window of opportunity to work. They know that America or Israel won't bomb their plants while Bambam and Kerry bumble around trying to achieve a deal that has no chance of happening.

IMO, Iran's plan is to suddenly perform a 'test' to demonstrate to the world that she is a nuclear power, just like North Korea did. Once that happens, military options in dealing with Iran will be severely limited just like they are with NK. The big difference is that NK and Iran are two very different animals - one is a bankrupt godless nation, the other is overflowing with muslim radicals sitting on a helluva lot of oil to finance anything they want, and are already known to actively export terrorism.

I believe Iran's endgame is to refine their nukes until they can build a small tactical nuke to be smuggled into the heart of Israel, detonate to kill & contaminate a large part of the country and watch it crumble.

The 'Death to America' and 'Death to Israel' chants the Iranians engage in by the tens of thousands says it all - it's not just a catchy slogan. We as Americans are not really threatened directly, so that leaves Israel who is conveniently a neighbor. The Iranians and all their neighbors have learned that conventional military confrontation with Israel is suicidal at best, so this is the only way to achieve their stated goal of removing Israel from existence.

That being said, we know that Iran is trying to get the bomb but evidently isn't about to produce it. When we wake up to headlines announcing a story of several facilities destroyed in an air raid, that's when we'll all know they were dangerously close to making a working nuke. Mossad and the CIA are keeping close tabs on Iran's progress.

.... Wow. Who never saw that one coming ??

I basically agree with NightTrain's post.

Regardless of the exact detail ... there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell that Iran would agree to any detail that'd definitely risk their ability to develop a nuke bomb capability. They've been shamelessly playing for time all this while, and given the chance, they'll keep on doing it until one day we all wake up to the news of a radioactive crater where Tel Aviv used to be.

And this might well be the truth of it. I daresay that Israel will be keen to take pre-emptive action, BUT, will they wait too long ? Remember the report from several years ago of the discovery of a secret nuclear facility in Iran, close to being operational, though it was discovered just in the nick of time ?

This situation is arguably THE most traitorous aspect of Obama's Presidency.

Iran loves, and enjoys the KERRY, and OBAMA inability to be decisive, or carry the BIG STICK.

Iran will remain happy to prolong what is loosely called TALKS, or NEGOTIATIONS that never achieve any resolution.

All the while IRAN, and the rest of the world LAUGHS at Obama, and Lurch Kerry for being so STUPID.

Obama is only concerned with his LEGACY...of playing Golf WITHOUT BALLS.
