I hope you fared better than I did. The wonton soup I had tasted like the wontons were undercooked. Either that, or it was that stinking shrimp. All I know is that it took like 47 rolaids before my stomach stopped talking to me!

oh...I truly understand...it was probably the shrimp....had similar issues before..acid-like-hot-saliva coming up my esophagus.....making me sick and wanting to spit....rough.

My wife being a filipina seafood is a staple with her. She eats jumbo shrimp at least 4 or 5 times each week. Likes to but the uncooked shrimp and do the cooking herself.
I am not a big fan of shrimp, eating fried shrimp a couple times a year suits me just fine.
Hell, went about 20 years never eating any at all but to please her I eat some now when she cooks it.
Myself I do not truly trust that the shrimp is not contaminated from the chemicals in the oceans..but thats just me.
I do however , severely limit how much I let her feed to our son Justin(he loves it)....
Did you know that kids under 4 years old are not supposed to eat shrimp at all?--Tyr

I prefer shrimp cocktail. But yeah, too much of that crap will kill you!

I don't understand the obsession with lobster. Yeah, I think it is good sometimes, but mostly tastes like whatever you dip it in. I just can't see spending the $$ when I can get something I prefer for cheaper, like the shrimp, or a good fish meal or even some fried clams!!

As a kid on the coast of Maine, I worked on a lobster boat. If the boat sold and mad money, we got paid.

If not, we were paid in lobster. Got so I couldn't eat it any more, so I don't.

When the Lady and I travel north to see the family, I'll treat the young-ins to a lobster (or two).

But the Lady and I go for the good thick cod dinner every time!

For all of you Lobster, crab, clam, shrimp, and Oyster lovers. I once was a dedicated Seafood Lover, prior to my bouts with Cancer, and Heart attacks.
It only took the careful advice of several doctors who convinced me WHERE, and WHAT those bottom feeding types of YUMMY seafood eat....to become your Favorites.

I won't go any further here as to not spoil, or cause anyone to feel a need to ARGUE with me on this topic. So, go right ahead and keep on enjoying whatever you like.

I must remind you, however. There is a reason for the expression "Lower than Whale Sh*t". Created by Fishermen, and Sailors.

That sucker ain't got nothing on me. The one and only time I popped a piece of paper called "acid" when I was like 19, I sure as hell saw as many colors as this shrimp! Hell, I saw the bread breathing in my freezer, and then I got up REAL close to the bathroom mirror and watched my facial hair grow. Weird enough, when I pulled away from the mirror, the hair was gone. :dunno:

That IS an awesome shrimp though. I was already thinking halfway through that it would be a cool pet, till I read he would break the glass and escape! LOL
