I'm looking forward to it.

I'm pretty surprised that they talked Harrison Ford into signing on... but glad they did!

Not only that, but then he crashed that plane. Pretty rough duty on an older guy.

I'm not too worried, honestly, since it's no longer in the hands of Lucas. Disney has done a fantastic job of letting Marvel run with the ball for Avengers, and have been more than willing to give their studios the funding they need to produce the best film possible.

The trailer looked good. Dare I say... Abrams Star-Trek reboot good? :scared:

I'll be in a chair watching.
but I'd like the trailer just a bit more if Han had said, something like.
"This the last time we're ever coming back to this dust bucket Tantoine."

I'm guessing the planet in 1st part is Tantoine.
Whatever, but if he was complaining about something that'd make it feel more right to me. especially since he's gotten older.
complaining about not running to chase those .... "I'll stay in the ship with the big guns thanks".

God - that trailer alone is 200000% better than all 3 of the prequals combined. For sure. I HATED how lucas ruined everything with Horrid writing, bad acting - which is generally caused by worse directing - and esessentially cartoons.

This guy nails it.

I agree with most of what he said but being digital isn't the problem. like he said the stories are the problem.

When star wars 1st came out I remember people saying they couldn't take it seriously because of the puppets. most people saw past it to the characters.
Puppets or digital or midgets in costumes those are just tools to tell a story. if the story's good and well acted it doesn't matter that much how it's made.

Harrison's role - isn't it just a cameo in this film? I assumed that meant a very short role... I hope I'm wrong, I love him and Chewy!!

I think I may be the only American that has never seen any of these movie's, I just don't Dig these kind of flicks. But as I get older and realize how many not only went to see it once but many times, I think maybe I should check it out.

i know some people got up in arms about the black stormtrooper, but honestly, it isn't possible for it to break canon at this point. Yeah, originally you had the Clone Troopers, but the cloning tanks were eventually disposed of, and the empire started recruiting non-clones for the stormtroopers. Then, after the defeat of the Empire, the New Republic is formed, and well, they can recruit whoever they want. I really don't get the nerdrage on this one.

People really care about the africa-empirian storm trooper? Eh?? Why?

Sigh... it's basically the group that isn't happy unless it comes out perfect, per the established canon. The problem is just that, well, this is new canon taking place, jumping off from the point where Return of the Jedi left off. They seemed to have mentally skipped that the Republic was not likely to continue using clone troops who clearly had special override order from Emperor Palpatine that could screw over the whole republic.

But, no, people got all butthurt about it, then people got butthurt about being told they were butthurt, and then the people who started the thing were all butthurt about the people being butthurt about being told they're butthurt.

It's a really stupid geek argument.
