We are a lil' church of 250-300 souls out in the middle of a cotton field and we don't need or have never needed a pastor or anyone to tell us to lock and load. I have been careless not to carry but for years, I carried in my cowboy boots. We have law, ex-law, military and ex-military in our church with a WHOLE BUNCH of "right wing nut" hunters and 'good ole boys'. It wouldn't do for jaFART or his type to come in to our congregation.

And for the record.....I don't need no stinkin' papers that allows me to carry (openly or concealed). Never have.....never will according to the Constitution. Perhaps, someday, we will get back to our roots and guys like me don't have to walk on thin ice regarding this topic.

With the larges muSLUM population just NW of this church.....I'd make sure I was armed to the teeth when these 'sleepers' awaken or get the "CALL to ACTION".

:salute:

Some folks seem hot and horny EXCITED for the chance to shoot somebody.

My preacher announced to the church ( when GA changed the law allowing guns in house of worships ) that folks ought to carry, and for the reason that you see in the paper each day, Christians are being persecuted all over the world and although it is slowly happening here in the States it is coming.

Folks need to carry all the time, it is a right we have and it will cut crime and may just save your life someday. I agree with dmp some folks act like they have a itchy trigger finger, to those folks I say leave the guns at home but for the majority it is the best way to protect you and yours.

Agreed on all counts, Jeff. I have been extremely guilty the past few years of not excersising my rights to protect my family. I blame this on laziness because it is, as any of you well know, a hassle to carry. It truly is. It is uncomfortable or (not as comfortable) and truly is heavy after long periods shopping or sight seeing.

I don't know when my State made it "LEGAL" to carry in the house of worship but we always have and always will protect our own. As the Casino Royale sound track states:

"....I've seen angels fall from blinding heights
But you yourself are nothing so divine (JUST IN LINE).
....ARM YOURSELF CUZ NO ONE ELSE HERE WILL SAVE YOU...."

One would think the Brits would take after this BOND song and start a new fad but, as Drummond has pointed out, most of them have been brainwashed and haven't a clue as to what security truly is.

A Pastor Is Shot and Killed in the Pulpit: His Widow Speaks....

`March 8, 2009. It’s hard to believe four years have passed. I was on my way to church when I got the message that a pastor in Illinois had been shot. The next caller informed me that he was dead. But the third caller told me his name: Fred Winters.
Fred was my friend and former student. I had just been with him at a conference in Naples, Florida. Surreal. It all seemed surreal.
But imagine how his wife felt when she found out that her young husband had been shot and killed in the first worship service that morning. No, instead of imagining, hear Cindy Winters’ words directly from her`....
