ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Orangeburg County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man accused of having sex with a puppy.


Freddie James, 79, was taken into custody Friday.


According to the incident report, the owner was notified by her neighbor that James struck the puppy in the head and proceeded to have sex with it. Authorities say both knees on James' pants were dirty while the rest of his pants were clean.


Deputies found the dog scared, shaking and trying to hide under a car, according to the incident report. The owner says she would take the dog to the vet following the incident.


James was charged with buggery. His bond was set at $1,000.
