This is disgusting, all along I thought that the NFL was Honoring these true American hero's, I do understand the military paying for the advertizement but I thought the teams where just paying respect. Now NASCAR actually does it out of respect, and I respect that.

Sad, huh!

I would not be at all surprised to find NASCAR is also compensated. As along with the NFL, NASCAR is a big recruitment tool for the military. Don't forget that 3 years ago many in Congress rallied against the Pentagon spending $200 million a year in sponsorship in racing.

As for honoring the troops I find it disingenuous that no one in management of NASCAR, not a Crew Chief, not one driver, and less than a handful of owners have ever served in the Military.

I wonder if the Cancer groups also pay the NFL for advertising? Good for DoD to spend dollars though; great stage.
