Porter is an odd little dog. He was on his bed eating his ferret. He's had this damn thing for like 8 years now. So he starts growling at me simply because I looked at him and his toy. But he's too dumb to let go of the toy, therefore cannot bite you. I just left my hand there and eventually he rolled over backwards and was like 'you can't touch the toy, but you're free to rub my belly'.

He's not odd at all. He has his priorities straight (belly rubbing trumps territorial disputes). And he's got you trained to do his bidding.

Smart dog....lol.

Damn dogs can get me mad as hell, but it never lasts longer than like 10 seconds. The little bastard will pee on the floor, and I'll turn read from having to get down on my knees and clean it. But he'll wag his little tail and make friends while I do the cleaning. And by the time all is said and done, he'll stare at the mini-treats bag like he just went outside and was a good dog, and I'm dumb enough to give it to him.

If I had a son he would look just like him! LOL

That's a good point! And I know I can always make all well in the world and settle any issues between the 2 dogs with a few treats.

I think both my dogs have me trained. :( My Pug will allow the world to stop if it's treat time, and it will NOT move again until he gets it. And of course I always give in, which only reinforces his behavior.

Still my best friends :) http://i.imgur.com/zPNcuLx.gif

He is still a ugly little Joker Jim, heck he reminds me of Jake a good bit. If you remember Jake was the same way, he listened well until he smelled a Bitch in heat, I use to watch that little nose go in the aie and before I could say "Jake no" he was across the yard and half way to jerry's house, on his way to doggie heaven.

Great picture!

As for dogs, it's easier to get their attention when they are hungry.
