How nice of them, they destroyed this mans property and damaged many other. all this for a shop lifted, well he had a gun and opened fire on the police but when you have 100 armed police officers and one idiot with a hand gun I don't believe the need for tanks and explosives, no this was ONE man.

Leo Lech used to be a Denver-area homeowner and landlord, but that was before the local SWAT team, trying to extract a shoplifter who had forced his way inside, turning his investment into a condemned property.
“There was one gunman with a handgun and they chose to turn this house into something that resembles Osama Bin Laden’s compound,” Lech told Denver’s KMGH News.
Lech’s problems began about 2 p.m. Wednesday, miles away in Aurora, when Robert Jonathan Seacat, 33, was spotted attempting to shoplift. Seacat fled, abandoned his car at the local light rail and took off on foot. As luck would have it, Seacat randomly picked Lech’s Greenwood Village property to force his way into to hide.

"KMGH sought comment from the Greenwood Village police chief and reported he said, “We did what we had to do to protect human life.”

WTH?

What would the Denver Police do with someone "accused" of a crime that has AR15s, shotguns, m16s, carbines, 357s, who are holdup in their own house?

missile strike, mini nuke?

Nukes sure enough is my guess, 100 officers and they couldn't take one guy with a pistol down, they needed to destroy the neighborhood and demolish the house, but hey on the good side, they got to play with all those new toys the Military gave them.

Looks like a Denver newspaper is putting some pressure on helping the guy rebuild. My guess is the city is going to take a good hit, the insurance company is likely to go to court for subrogation after the house is rebuilt, to get at least most of their money back.

I am sure somebody is going to take the hit, if I remember correctly the said the house is unlivable, man imagine that, a shoplifter decides to hide in your house and the cops bring tanks and other goodies and destroy your home, hell I wonder what he shop lifted for all this commotion.

Commander Dustin Varney of the Greenwood Village Police said,
“We're there to save lives and prevent lives from being taken", adding,
"We've got to show perseverance, restraint and professionalism."

what?
