This article suggests that splitting the difference on the status of illegal immigrants might be the solution. Your thoughts?



If we succeeded in removing the hyperbole and stereotypes from the immigration debate, our politics might open itself to a balanced approach to the problem: legalization for as many undocumented immigrants as possible, but citizenship for none of them. Under this proposal, illegal immigrants who so desired could become "permanent non-citizen residents" with no option of ever naturalizing.

Perianne. In this case. I see Splitting the Difference, or the definition of those words, to be nothing more than another pair of words to describe DOUBLE-STANDARDS, and APPEASING THE APPEASERS!

Liberals have many other forms of CODED WORDS, like COMPREHENSIVE...which, in Liberal-speak is nothing more than RAISING TAXES to pay for pet programs that have been proven to...NEVER WORK.
