The funny thing is while I agree that children of illegals should NOT be citizens, my approach to immigration is quite different:

1) Strictly enforced prevailing wage requirements for all work visas.
2) Those who hire illegal aliens are accomplices to human trafficking.
3) Suspension of deportation for alien employees that file a regulatory complaint against their employer (OSHA for example) so they can testify.
4) Those who support "public charges" (aka welfare recipients) coming into the country are guilty of election tampering and being accomplices to human trafficking.

I'm pro-immigrant. I think they should have a $15/hour minimum wage. They deserve premium pay for doing work Americans won't do.

I just tried the test myself ... with some slight trepidation, because I wasn't sure if I was a competent-enough judge of American affairs to settle on good decisions. It worked out well, though, with a summary duplicating Abbey's ..

Your political beliefs would be considered strongly Right-Wing on an ideological scale, meaning you tend to support policies that promote economic freedom and a society based on morals and values.

The test decided I was most in line with Marco Rubio's policies (98 percent). There followed a long line of other Republicans I agreed with, in diminishing percentages ... Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee's immediately following. Not too bad !

Same here. 98% Rubio ... a long list of Republicans followed ... and down at the bottom, Hillary Clinton at 20 percent.

I offer no creditable explanation, but I'd be less than honest if I didn't report what the test really showed. I'm staggered that she was there at all.

I sympathise ! I'm unhappy about Hillary getting 20% on mine.

In my case, though (IF he reported it accurately) ... it seems I have something in common with FJ. Ted Cruz scored high on mine, too.

I didn't want to admit it ... but I've come clean .....

I console myself with having learned that Ted Cruz's father fought for that arch-Commie, Fidel Castro, against Batista.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Cruz

Cruz's father, Rafael Bienvenido Cruz, was born in 1939 in Matanzas, Cuba. As a teenager, he joined Fidel Castro's guerrilla groups to fight against the regime of Fulgencio Batista. He left Cuba in 1957 to attend the University of Texas.[19] Rafael Cruz became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2005.

I'm sure we also agree that WE are sick and tired of being left with a 'Lesser of two evil" votes. I was actually hoping Santuram would beat out Mittens last go around (but only because Mittens was destined to be another mcSHAME.

We live in interesting times but nothing now surprises us. It almost disgusts you to the point of not voting.....especially if THEY are gonna trump your vote with a FIVE minority ruling class of tyrannical judges.

What exactly does it take to make a "successful society?"

Of course you would. :grenade:

Why is it Nixon was a crook for one thing and Billary abd O=blah-blah have lied their ways through 30 years of uselessness and they get a pass? I at least have some integrity unlike people who vote for the "D no matter what.

Hell, at this point you would have my vote too. No offense of course, but I would also vote for a rock at this point, as after dealing with Obama ANYTHING sounds good. But I would love to have a Marine in office that would stand in front of America and speak his mind and not hold back. Quite frankly, that's what we need. Stop with the PC shit, stop with the lies, stop with the appeasing... oh, and Nuke ISIS if you get in.

Both Sharon and I took this quiz a couple of weeks ago, and Rubio was at the top of the list. I expected Walker to be the top guy, but he was down the list a ways.

But, if you look at the results, you'll see that on issues where there is no information about that candidates' stance about that particular question, a non-answer counts as a non-alignment with your answer. So that's not accurate and skews your results. There were several questions that Walker has no input on, and since I answered every question, they counted as strikes.

Either Rubio took this quiz and answered all the questions in a conservative manner, or it's skewing the results deliberately for Rubio.

Hellary and Sanders were still at the bottom of the list by a wide margin, so at least that portion seemed accurate.

I think that they just tried to glean an answer from public statements or other sources. I'd be interested to know the difference between "no" and "no, because blah blah blah."

It's a fun indicator, but I doubt it's completely accurate without first seeing how the results are tallied.

I side with Rand Paul on most 2016 Presidential Election issues

Or, maybe, the reverse ? There are some Conservatives here who completely rebel against the root-and-branch Leftie pervasiveness in the UK. I'm proud to be one of them.

It worried me that ignorance of American affairs might be too much of a handicap. Seems my concern was groundless.

Yeah, I noticed on a few questions where I chose a more detailed answer, it aligned me with another candidate. There were a couple that I wrote my own response and those were automatically counted as strikes with every candidate - the robot can't read and reason, apparently.

I think for the most accurate results, one should choose either a Yes or No answer. Maybe I'll take a mulligan and try that.

I used only yes and no and it gave me Rubio, who is my choice thus far. I think it was dumb luck though. I'm still perplexed with my connection to Hillary. I wonder what stance I agree with her on?

I suppose if you're really trying to drill down to find out who exactly you agree with it will show one thing but most of those other options were just variations on a theme and now worth the trouble. It asked me who exactly I preferred, I replied Walker because he's a governor, and Walker was down at number 5 I think. Those within say 10% is just a rounding error to me. And was Bush even in there?

Well, given the premise of who you REALLY support then I would go with their methodology. Whether it really matters come general election time is a different question.

A difference is the degree in which a person says yes or no. E.G., there's a difference between a person who thinks illegal immigrants should be deported and a person who strongly thinks illegals should be deported to the point of making it a priority over the economy and national defense against terrorism or other nations hacking into our data bases.
