Schools Implant IUDs in Girls as Young as 6th Grade Without Their Parents Knowing

This can't be correct, a kid can't get a soda at school but they can have a IUD implanted into her uterus :confused0058: This without the parents permission no less, I just knew this had to be a false story but I have always got good stories from Teaparty.org but I looked it up anyway and sure enough there was at least one entire page of stories. This blows my mind, if someone touched one of my kids in such a way they would need a whole lot more doctors at that school sure enough.



Earlier this month, LifeNews.com reported on a high school in Seattle, Washington (http://www.lifenews.com/2015/06/12/high-school-implants-iuds-in-teen-girls-without-their-parents-knowledge-or-consent/) that is now implanting intrauterine devices (IUD), as well as other forms of birth control and doing so without parental knowledge or permission.

I seriously do not understand this or even handing out condoms which has been going on for years. Unless aspirin or other pain relievers are prescribed by a doctor, the school cannot hand them out, at least in IL. No, a note from mom will not allow for a Midol to be taken. IF caught taking any medicine at school, big trouble. Indeed, lending something to someone else can get the kid expelled.

IUD's are not without risks/side effects, including perforation of uterus, (1 in 1000). It's KNOWN that IUD's are most effective for women who have already given birth. Risks are higher for those who have not.

I think folks need to show up and make noise at school board meetings.

Listen here, I'm not against sex education. I am against pushing agendas, whether it be politically or socially.

Sex education should mean:

Kids understand their bodies, puberty, the birth process, basics of birth control, STD's (middle school), etc. It doesn't involve various pairings, transgender, etc. I do think kids with 'issues' should have counselors that can help them, but it shouldn't be in sex ed.

I think that parents should receive a course syllabus at the beginning of each year on what is covered in the class. If they choose to, they should be able to opt out for their child, signing a waiver.
