The Christian bakers that refused to make the two dykes a wedding cake have been told to pay 135 grand to the poor perverted lesbians, man 135 grand just because they didn't get there cake.

Yesterday I read this story and they explained the reason for the fine, one of the complaints of the dykes was they are now afraid of men, hell they didn't like men from the get go that is why they are dykes, among other ridicules charges ( that was the one that made me laugh the hardest so I remembered it ) but in all honesty, this is just a attack on Christianity. I have said many times , find a black baker and ask him to make a cake for the KKK, not only won't he do it he shouldn't have to, it should be up to the owner of the business who they wish to do business with.

Two Christian bakers who refused to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding have been ordered to pay $135,000 in damages by July 13 or else the state of Oregon could place a lien on their home.
Aaron and Melissa Klein, the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, were punished by the state’s Bureau of Labor and Industry (BOLI) for unlawfully discriminating against a same-sex couple.

The Kleins, who are devout evangelical Christians, argued that baking the cake would be a violation of their religious beliefs.
The BOLI ruling ordered the mom-and-pop bakers to pay $135,000 to the lesbian couple. They were also slapped with a gag order that prohibits them (http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/07/06/state-silences-bakers-who-refused-to-bake-cake-for-lesbians.html) from speaking publicly about their refusal to participate in or bake wedding cakes for same-sex unions.

Luckily with the rise of persecution against religious, there has also been a rise in crowdsourcing:

http://www.oregonlive.com/business/index.ssf/2015/04/sweet_cakes_owners_direct_dono.html

...

The GoFundMe campaign quickly picked up steam, raising more than $100,000 in just a few hours before it was shut down.

...

By Saturday morning, the bakery owners had gone a step further, saying via their Facebook page that they were working to reinstate the GoFundMe page while also directing donors to another site.

Samaritan's Purse, founded by Franklin Graham, eldest son of the Rev. Billy Graham, describes itself as "a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world."...

This is the type of coming together for purpose I addressed yesterday, not violence but cooperation and organizing:

It appears that they are covered :salute:

In the past week since the Kleins have made national headlines, contributions have been streaming in steadily. Currently, more than $210,000 have been raised for the family on website Continue to Give—exceeding the initial $150,000 goal. The web page has been shared over 14,000 times on various social media outlets.

The plantifs are immoral assholes - not for their sexual choices but for their lying and fake 'injury'. IF they were seriously hurt they should commit to take that money and give to charity.

Anothr case of 'victims' using a situation as a lottery ticket. I hate them, I think.

A lot of these scumbags are seeking out places that they know are against gay marriages and purposely looking to start shit. I would wait for the next asshole to come along, and the second they ask about the cake/marriage - "sorry, we're closed, come tomorrow". And then reopen when they leave. Keep doing this until they get nauseated and move on. I don't think there's a law that states you must remain open when you want to close.

Sounds like you have read the list of complaints, like I said the one that really sticks out to me is they no longer like men  but yes there where quite a few other charges that where equally as stupid.

I wonder if the bakers could now sue the "Couple" because now the bakers have suffered emotional trauma and all that?

That is the type of action I've been referring to. Crowdsourcing is one way to fight back.

Hopefully they're funding the appeal and not the fine.

Hopefully they're funding the appeal and not the fine.

Hopefully both. If they lose an appeal, thanks to the shitty activist courts, they are still liable to pay the fine. I would continue to leave the funding open, and when it does close, if the case still ongoing, put it in escrow until the outcome. But with any luck, as you said, they can appeal with funding and win.

Yes, they should definitely keep it going PERMANENTLY to help others (as does the Home School Legal Support is always needed). I'd not advise paying the fine if counter options such as an appeal is available. It admits defeat and I'd not pay it until absolutely necessary (as I do with my land taxes). I'm hoping one day, they'll get rid of it and when they do.....that'll be one LAST payment that I didn't have to make (much like the MS inspection sticker law)......save $5 - $10 bucks there!!!!! HA!!!

Screw paying the fine. Let them put a lien on the house.

Why? Then they can never sell without getting the lien lifted. I don't think they should see ANY negative consequence whatsoever.

I did read the thread. Any sort of defense will go far higher than that and avoid any appearance of giving the BOLI any credence.

Well that certainly seems like the best way to go about this and demonstrate that they merely want to protect their religious freedoms in their business life.

I'm guessing that there are a lot of lawyers that have offered a Pro Bono arrangement. This kind of coverage is golden for the attorney that wins this case.

Good for them. If these folks want to purposely target folks, specifically this cake crap, then let them express themselves. And the minute someone comes in wanting such a cake, or wants to complain about the sign, politely tell them we are closing and they must now leave.

Can you say "go f-k yourself?" I wouldn't pay jack shit.

They were afraid of men to begin with or they wouldn't be dykes.

Jim, you make the mistake in assuming that ignorant, hare-headed liberals can read. Those that can are usually too lazy to read or flat out deny FACTS that they doesn't agree with them. I once refered to THEM as DemLiars as a play on denier/Liar/Dem but plain ole DIM works just as well.

I was thinking the same thing, heck even if they are liberal and all about the fags the advertisement they will get for doing it would be worth it.

They paid... kind of.

The Kleins have appealed the judge’s decision so their check will be held pending appeal.
