I bought just a half ounce last time this happened in 2009 and doubled my money. It has happened again.

I only bought metals once, no Platinum. I still have my 10 1oz. Krugerrand's bought in the mid 80's when it became legal to do so from South Africa. Paid $422 for each.

Palladium interests me as our Vitamin C production process used it as a catalyst in the air oxidation phase. Several years after production moved to China the old building was torn down and $11 million in Palladium was recovered.
