Yesterday morning before we took off up the road we stopped for breakfast, and while sitting there about 20 cars from SC came driving in with confederate flags hanging all over them, I spoke with some of the people and they where heading to Stone Mountain to protest the NAACP who is wanting the symbols that are carved into the side of the mountain sand blasted off, yes this monument is larger than Mt. Rushmore and has millions every year come visit, for many that is either all or part of their vacation. Well these folks told me on their way to GA they had a couple of incidents , mostly black drivers pissed trying to run them off the road. HMMM we can have protest that say black lives matter but no one else can hold a rally, got it.
They where expecting a lot of folks to show and I am not sure how many did but when looking it up last night I did see that the only problem they had at the rally was one guy ( a klan member ) came forward spewing hatred, these folks ran him off, they want people to understand their cause is one of heritage and southern pride, not hatred.
Anyway here is a couple of pictures once they got parked at the restaurant, it was actually a sight to see when they all come pulling in.
