I've never been to a real encompassing family reunion. Don't know whether this is good or bad. :cheers2:

It kind of depends on the year. Family reunions are a LOT of fun for kids. Adults, not so much. This is my mother's family reunion...she's the youngest of 11 children. She's 81 in a few days...all that are left are her and her sis who is 88. I remember when the siblings and grandma were young and there'd be 150 of us...and all closely related. My mom isn't coming this year, she has to travel 500 miles and isn't feeling it this year. There will still be my aunt, sister. Niece, cousins...and many first cousins once, twice, thrice and four times removed. My brother might be there...it's as awkward as you'd expect when you get ppl whose only connection is shared blood.

Among those ppl are ppl you do care about, and share history with. But you can't spend as much time as you like with them...

Anyway my family...my mom and kids and our kids...as many as poss...are gathering at Thanksgiving.
