I've never seen the show.

Is it as good as Game of Thrones?

Same here.

Prettier, sexier, more interesting, lots of love and fighting and kilts, and Scottish countryside. And history.

And ETA the most important thing: Time travel to the past and back.

I read those books almost 25 years ago. When I heard they made a series out of it I was thrilled. Disappointed that it's only 2 months and have to wait almost a year for more.

I know, right? It's such a long wait. That's why they are calling it Droughtlander.

Seriously, it's a great show. Has about the same nudity as GOT, but only a few of the characters get dirty!

Abbey, did you cry during the rape scene? I was sobbing ... as I've said before. It's one thing to read it and visualize in your own head and another thing to see how someone else visualized and put it on film. Now, I can never go back to my created memory.

I read up on the actors and how the scene affected them. Very powerful.

I did. It was so well-acted, it felt real.

I wasn't sure how the film experience could capture all the internal pain in that scene. When I first read the book I had tears streaming down my face and I almost didn't want to finish reading but felt compelled to see it through. I think they managed to show the difference between overcoming physical resistance and getting inside someone's head - much more difficult and much more painful.

What is it with women lusting after guys in skirts? Isn't a pair of Levi's more sexy than a skirt?

Lol! I guess it depends on who's wearing it. But hey, I like those Roman uniforms too 😎

Attire varies tremendously across time and place. Trousers and skirted garments seem to have equal representation for both genders. Personally I think it is more about what the kilt represents in terms of a fierce and individualistic and independent people.

Depends on who's wearing what. Some dudes just shouldn't shame the brand.

In my book, a guy who can wear either and pique my hoohaw, whether it's blatant or implied, gets my vote.

I have to tell you that when both parties are wearing skirts quickies are abundant and spontaneous.

For NT

What is it with guys lusting after girls in jeans ... especially those with gaping holes? Isn't a nice skirt or dress more sexy than ratty levis"?
