Star-studded event in Lisbon, Portugal, will unveil winners of the new wonders
Voting in the final hours has been so intense the Web site crashed at times
Twenty-one sites from across the globe are up for vote
Pyramids of Giza have been given honorary status as a "wonders" member

Why take away the title of Wonders of the World from places that have been there for ages and have held the titles for that period of time. Why not keep them and add 7 new Wonders.

What do you think the 7 Wonders should be?

I think they should be......

The Statue of Liberty
The Pyramids of Giza
The Great Wall
The Oricle of Delphi
The Roman Colesseum
The Taj Majal
The Eiffel Tower

I know it's not really Wonder material but I think the Louvre museum should be because of the timeless art that is in it.

United States of America interstate system of roads.

Far superior than the "roman roads" and any other road system in the world.

Yup. It's primarly our's though. Also it doesn't matter, a Wonder of the World doesn't have to belong to America.
