Trump answers questions about guns, he tells it just like it is, common sense. He was asked in the wake of recent killings would he shoot for stricter gun laws, and he says no, these murders would of been committed with a knife a bomb what ever, these folks wanted to kill and would do so no matter what they had to do it with. We need to tack care of mental patients not take guns from law abiding citizens, if that happens the law abiding citizens will follow the law, the criminals will keep theirs, so we will just make it easier for the criminals. People have a right to protect themselves.

Liberals never let a tragedy go to waste. The day after the shootings in Virginia the liberal media used the death of two innocent people to grandstand about the dangers of guns.
That’s what they do. They don’t mourn the victims, they politicize things in an instant.
And what better way to accomplish this then by interviewing politicians on their stance about gun control. CNN Chris Cuomo even tried to grill Trump and get him to admit guns are the problem and they should be harder to get.
Trump in predictable fashion fielded the question quite well, read part of his response and then watch the video below.

Perhaps Trump should also say, "Well, the 2nd amendment makes it illegal for any government in this country to restrict people's guns. So it doesn't matter much what I think we should do. Not until someone gets the resources together to get an Constitutional amendment changing that. Anybody have any other questions?"

Trump with the usual flawed logic endorsed by the NRA. Which advocates allowing everyone to own a gun, including career criminals and the mentally ill.

What Trump doesn't realize is that his candidacy could lead to stricter gun control laws. Trump topping the GOP general election bill could lead to unexpected defeats in the House and Senate.
What will happen if the Dems control the White House and Congress? A lot of gun control laws. California and other states aren't passing stricter laws for no reason. These are pilot programs that could be enacted on a national level.
Also remember that the next POTUS will get to appoint new Supreme Court justices if any of the current ones retire. And a couple are expected to do so. Add a liberal Supreme Court majority in there.

I thought you would LIKE Trump's position on gun control:

For assault weapon ban, waiting period, & background check
I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

Trump wants to ban scary-looking weapons.

You really aren't very bright are you, the NRA says no new laws, enforce the ones we have now, that states, if you have a felony ( one, nope not a career felon, just one) you can not buy a gun, if you have ever sought help for a mental illness you can not own a gun, if you take certain meds for a mental illness you may not own a gun, nice try but learn what you are talking about, The NRA simply doesn't want you fools fixing something that you don't use now, use it and the people in Charleston are still alive. Unless of course he got one from a criminal or killed them with a bomb or some other device, yup again exactly what the NRA says.

His answer was common sense and adhered to obeying and maintaining the laws on the books.
Unlike the leftist/libs and dems that demand they be allowed to ignore laws they do not like.---Tyr
