Seems this guy has been in trouble before, his criminal history dates back to 2005 with a arrest in 2012 that sent him to a mental hospital for several months. So yes we have some on here knocking the NRA that is saying no new laws lets just enforce what we have, the new laws do nothing but take certain guns off the market and lets the government know exactly where all the guns are locates , first step in total confiscation. The law now says if you have mental illness you can't own a gun, so once again the NRA is exactly right, enforce the laws on the laws that are on the books and this guy can't get a gun, legally anyway.

HOUSTON (AP) — The man accused of shooting and killing a suburban Houston officer has a history of mental illness and once lived in a homeless shelter, authorities said Monday.

Harris County Sheriff's Deputy Darren Goforth was ambushed and shot 15 times, Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson said in a court hearing for Shannon J. Miles, who is charged with capital murder.
Miles, a 30-year-old Houston resident who said little in court, is being held without bond. His criminal history dates back to 2005 and includes an arrest in Austin in 2012 that led to Miles being sent to a state mental hospital for several months.

Shot a cop in Houston....

Seems Mr. Miles sentenced himself to Death....

No jury required... give this piece of filth the shots and save the taxpayers a few million in court costs..

No excuses. Back yard. Bullet to the head.

And I totally agree. We don't need new laws. Just enforce the ones we have. GUns don't kill people ... people kill people. And I got a whole tool pouch full of stuff that says my sheetrock knife is an assault weapon.
