If you're in IT, working with Conservatives tends to be a career drag. If it ain't broke, don't fix it is at odds with "will our system crash if there are more users". Code smells work, but are bad code, so they are technically not "broke".

No, no, that's tangents...

Like this one time, when I was hanging with my buddy Tisdale, and we had gone out to Applebee's after getting off ship- Our first civilian food/booze for over a month, since we'd been out running drills in the North Atlantic, including iceberg drills, mainspace fires, that sort of thing (I never quite got why they bothered with those drills for those of us in the pit. Pretty much every one of the mainspace fires would kill the lot of us before we could ever get our DC gear on)- and we're talking with Becky, our server (We were fairly regular customers, since the Applebee's was right next the NEX, so it was the first fully civilian place to grab some food), about what she was up to while we were out.

I used to work in IT and I can't say that I worked with a lot of ideologues of any type right or left but contrarians seemed to do very well in that field. They wouldn't talk about themselves but they would go into great detail as to why they thought other people were idiots. If it weren't for IT then people with Aspergers wouldn't have a career path to follow.

Welcome to the board :salute:

BTW, we have a forum at the top for new folks to introduce themselves. Feel free to let us know a little about yourself, or just say hi. No pressure.

I already did, it was my first post.

Edit: nvm, I see you already saw it.
