I was wondering what the opinion of DP Catholics to the upcoming visit of Pope Francis to the U.S.
The Catholics I know (most younger ones, of course) are very excited about having a Pope who finally wants to help much the Catholic church into the 21st century. Some are in Washington DC now to see him.

Can a former Catholic answer?

1. I disagree with the premise that liberal policies = progress.
2. Even if you are correct in that, why should a religion be progressive?

I'm curious as to why someone that thinks religion shouldn't be in government gives a crap about the OP. Unfortunately, leftwingers ARE a religion all unto themselves. Progressive just means Highway to Hell to me.
