I woke up this am to the distressing sounds and sight of the resident WH liar, aka Barry Soetero, in another one of his BS spiels-du-jour.

Ironic....that the POS-In-Chief....in giving his "always with the teleprompter back and forth", idiotic manner...speech pre-pope speech...

is talking about religious freedom around the world...or rather, the lack thereof...and about Christians being killed and churches being destroyed....

when his own Kenyan cousin, Raul Odinga, when he lost an election that Obama campaigned to help him to win (the Midas touch of Death).... Odinga's followers rounded up Christians, slaughtered them and torched the church they attended.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUaGe63Aqv4

Ironic also...that Obama himself has helped to create the very conditions that exist NOW where Christians are being killed by ISIS.

Talk about hypocrisy!

And then the pope bleats....about sustainable "changes". Huh? Isn't that sustainability the same crap these New World Order/One World Order globalist aholes talk about? Holy crap (quite literally)....but this pope sounds more and more like a commie every damned day.

And another thing....why does this pope have to read from a speech always? Does he ever just speak from the heart? If not....why not? If so, why the prepared/written speech today at the WH?

In an attempt to make a point re: his pro-illegal immigration and pro-refugees immigration....he lied and called Jesus "homeless" when he was born. This is blatant BS...and heresy. Jesus was never "homeless". Mary and Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem in order to register to pay newly decreed taxes, by decree and by law (ironic, eh?). They were simply unable to find a place to say while there....but they HAD a home in Nazareth. This is in the NT, in fact. This pope lies so easily. What ELSE is he lying about I wonder?

I think the pope will be in NYC sometime today/tonight. Man am I glad I'm not there. It's bad enough when the prez comes to town, but the security efforts going on for where he'll be staying and at St. Patrick's Cathedral are kinda crazy!

I just read - 6,000 cops for the pope (everywhere, not around his car, silly!), 1,773 police cars, 818 tons of cement for blocking, 37 miles of barriers and fences.

I don't care what the Pope's got to say. I'm Southern Baptist. He's just another preacher to me. Why he gets treated with so much respect beats the crap out of me. I don't like the idea that Obama purposefully invited people to disrespect him. The REALLY sad thing is though ... I wasn't surprised. Obama seems hell-bent on a mission to offend as many people as he possibly can.

Oh, same here and ditto that. But....if one wants to hear or see others speak (like this pope)...one has to also see pics of Obama and see him cozying up to the pope.

Ask yourself one question here. If Obama isn't a Christian, and I so do not believe that he is per his stance on partial birth abortion (who could be Christian with that stance?)....why the hell is he so gung-ho supportive of this pope?

Because this pope is a leftist first...(like most of them are)....and a "man of God" second (or perhaps maybe even last).

And to think that I actually considered converting to Catholicism years back (my ex husband, ex bf, best gf, cousin, etc. all are)...but I just couldn't embrace all of the ceremonial stuff involved with the religion. I am rapidly becoming anti-Catholic as we speak....because of this pope. Not good.

One thing he did say...is something about having respect for human life at every stage of life. You know what that means? It means even embryos, even fetuses, even live, fully-formed infants still in the womb. But this pope was a little too cowed (let's hope it was just that) to directly mention the "A" word. I wonder why. Isn't he supposed to have the Word of God behind him? Isn't he supposed to be fearless with that Word and that power behind him? Or is it just that....this pope is merely a leftist stooge for the globalist elitists? So many questions.....so many doubts...and more and more every time he speaks.

As for Congress. I dunno. Well spoken for just learning English. And I know it's his "duty" of sorts to bring love and hope to the world - but I would rather he not stray into the political world. But some have always tried to "help". He's simply wrong on immigration, it's a matter of laws, not love.

The Pope concentrated on Climate change CRAP/LIE but gave not a peep about the genocide of Middle East Christians and JEWS! Tens of thousands and he says not a word!!!!
Methinks, this Pope has a political agenda that he follows and not a spiritual one.
His silence on the muslims slaughtering all those Christians while he blathers on about climate change(obama's pet cause) is unforgivable for a Pope to do IMHO!
OF COURSE IF SOMEBODY CAN SHOW HOW HE IS RIGHT NOT TO SPEAK UP AND CONDEMN THE MUSLIMS WHOLESALE SLAUGHTERING OF THE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST IN THE MIDDLE EAST, I AM ALL EYES AND EARS.

The Pope has already addressed these issues on past occasions. He has other issues to address during his current visit to the U.S.
I find it humorous that conservatives, particularly older ones, are getting upset that the Pope says what is on his mind instead of what he is traditionally supposed to say.

My sister's former charge, who grew up in Colombia, is a diehard Catholic. She is actually in Philadelphia to attend the Family Conference mass, which she was able to get tickets for.
For perhaps the first time ever, the current Pope is just as popular with younger people as with older ones. Pope Francis speaks to young people instead of just talking over their heads.

This whole "global warming" thing is just more misdirection by the left. The Earth goes through cyclical climate changes. Get the f- over it. The entire Earth was a swamp once, roamed by dinosaurs.

The whole global warming / We Can Save The Planet stuff isn't logical in any case. Supposing, for arguments' sake, mankind really has created that 'problem'. The nonsense that's put about has it that if we reduce our polluting emissions, we'll 'solve the problem' ignores the fact that pollutants already around aren't going to disappear as if by magic !

We can reduce (and even then, not eliminate) the rate at which we pollute, and that's ALL. All we produce adds to what's already there. So, if mankind has produced the global warming effect, it's ongoing, we've no way of reversing it, and if we could stop all pollution actions right this minute, it'd STILL be ongoing.

Besides, the world has seen hotter climates, as you point out. Life adapts, but it carries on. Short of unleashing worldwide thermonuclear war, I don't think we have the power to 'doom' the planet .. at all. Claims to the contrary are Leftie pap.

Here, we have a Pope subservient more to political 'sensitivities' than he is even to the religion he says he represents.

Every time he speaks, whether directly to an American audience or not, he knows that what he says will be broadcast worldwide. So if he does any Muslim condemning, he well knows that he'll create a measure of political imbalance between the Catholic Church and other regimes, powers, other churches in other lands, etc .... unless he 'gets it right'.

Speak out against Muslim slaughters and he might offend Leftie-run regimes in the West who'll be more friendly to Muslims, for example. He obviously doesn't want to offend Lefties and risk becoming unpopular with them .. so, he prefers not to take any discernibly Christian stance against Muslim butchery. He has his image to think about !!

The Pope is the spiritual, purportedly infallible, head of a church of millions. For him to discuss global warming when he has the attention of the entire country, would be like Jesus using the Sermon on the Mount to discuss goat herding. More specifically, the environmental harm of goat herding.

And on what do you base your statement that he has "other issues to address"? Is he being forced to discuss other issues? Who controls him? I assumed he had free will.

The pope is speaking as a Catholic theological based leader of the Church on anything to do with political issues. In that rhealm his words are not 'infallible.'

To use the most simple analogy, he is speaking as a poster, not in his role of 'administrator.'

While I too find it wrong that he's enmeshed himself into science and economic issues where he appears less than well versed, what he's addressing regarding social issues is no different than the teachings of Christ. Behaviors can be sinful, but the sinner is still a child of God and every effort should be made to keep the sinner in the family, so that he may turn against the sins.

Global warming isn't really something the leader of 1.2 billion church followers should be dictating. Nor illegal immigration. This is only my opinion, of course.

I think he should be concentrating on abortion, the killing of catholics around the world, love and faith. He can speak of love and faith without entering the political arena. He's not a politician. But that's ok, as I don't listen to him on his political advice anyway.

But he should definitely be speaking out about the death of christians around the world. He's speaking out on behalf of those suffering that have no place to go, supposedly, but can't speak out for those in his own fold around the world? And meanwhile, his opening statements were to offer prayers for the muslims killed in mecca.

It's also a matter of (dare I say it?)...sustainability (there's that word again).

Ironic....that these very same globalists that are so worried about sustainable resources re: rampant population growth...

are the very same leftists pushing us to take in hundreds of thousands of "new citizens" via this current orchestrated and created "refugee crisis"...at a time when our own economy is still stumbling and struggling to survive, and instead seems to be sputtering on its last dying breath. The Pope does not seem to be controlled or influenced by anyone. Many old guard church officials are exasperated by his refusal to stick to traditional Catholic protocol.
Today in Philadelphia, the Pope encouraged the faithful to "to embrace a more personal, dynamic and active version of their faith."

Pope Francis spoke in particular about the importance of young people and women, saying it was time the church valued “the immense contribution” of lay and religious women, and suggesting that the church could not afford to stay mired in old ways. Reinvigorating people’s faith, he said, was “one of the great challenges facing the church in this generation”.

“This will require creativity in adapting to changed situations,” the pope said, “carrying forward the legacy of the past not primarily by maintaining our structures and institutions, which have served us well, but above all by being open to the possibilities which the spirit opens up to us.”

And guess who'll be whining first at bat next time? I can just envision whiny little sh*ts crying to be saved while the REAL people of this Nation are checking ammo and running a bore punch.
