I've been watching the HBO Series The Pacific (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374463/) (2010), narrated by Tom Hanks, concerning the Marine Division that went to Guadalcanal after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. It is a very well put together series. I didn't see it when it came out, but now I can see it, one part after another without waiting a week. It's on HBO On Demand on cable.

The Marines on Guadalcanal were so hard they made hard run away. GySgt John Basillone put the wood to those f*ckers. Haven't seen the show, but I know the history. He was so hard corps his clothes wore out from the inside.

I've finished with the series, ten parts. It was an excellent presentation; well worth watching.

Like I said .. I ain't allowed to watch war movies. They're "Banned From the Bible" around here. I want to see American Sniper but you'd have to put me in a cage to watch it. The people around me apparently don't appreciate my personality when stuff like that's on. :)
