I have as much respect for the Queen of Soul as anyone. But after watching her croak out a tedious 10-minute vamp on "Amazing Grace" at tonight's mass in Philadelphia, she needs to hang it up. It was beyond horrible.
Even the Pope seemed to agree. He was smiling at the beginning of the song, but after about five minute, his face developed a painful look. The Cardinals did not appear pleased either. :eek:

Gotta agree! Being in Philadelphia. She sounded more like BENJAMIN FRANKLIN than her old self. And he's been dead more than 200 years. DEJA VU ALL OVER AGAIN...(as Yogi once said):laugh:
