How does income inequality affect you? Are you discouraged that someone else makes more money than you?

Discouraged, no, but wouldn't mind being filthy rich. I always wanted to ask Trump for a single $1 million dollars. C'mon, that's like pocket change for the guy, but would literally change my life. Unfortunately, the rare times I did see him in our building, you couldn't get within 20 feet of him due to security. Greedy bastard!!

Only because I worked in the Trump Building, not because he had a responsibility to take care of me or anything like that. I wanted to hit the "Trump Lottery" was all.

I'm sure he has a car you could have been hit by. :sheesh:

Damn!! Never thought of that. I would imagine he lived by limo or similar, but I don't think I ever follow him out. Imagine if he did have one though? I'd be just like the Chinese and jump right in front of that sucker and lay there until the ambulance came and took my rich ass away. :thumb:

I never had to deal with this until I retired. Why should I care what someone else is making? You civilians always ask "How much do you want?" What kind of dumbass question is THAT? A couple of mil as a signing bonus might work and I'll deliver your pizzas right on time.

I've worked with people as a commercial electrician where the damned helper was making more than me and I was running the job. I got what I asked for. What do I have to complain about? Tgis inequality argument is just more smoke and mirrors from the left. Just another contrived circumstance to deflect from what they're doing.

I could care less what other people make. David Crosby once said "money makes you a greedy f--k. You want more of it and will do whatever to get it. People find out you have money and you can't get rid of them. I was happier when I was living in a rat hole."

Can't believe you know who David Crosby is. He's an actual liberal from MY day.

I assume you've heard the story about the guy who stopped to help change the tire on a limousine with a flat, not knowing who was in it... the next day, according to the story, the guy receive a thank you card saying his mortgage was paid off, signed 'Donald Trump'.

Sounds like an urban legend, of course. And even though Trump confirmed the story on TV, I think it still is an urban legend.

I inherited my dad's love for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young (and all their various permutations). I've seen them quite a few times. CSNY was the second concert I ever went to.

I'm confident that was on snopes and I'm still on my first cup of coffee! :) :) And he confirmed it? LOL From what I recall, he ain't big on sharing his money.

I do recall on snopes though, that it was a lie that the little girl was able to differentiate between "your and you're" as well as "I could care less - and - I couldn't care less". :laugh2:

Only your first? Means you're still sane?

I honestly have never understood this argument. Most military people don't. You get paid equally based on rank and time in service. Male or female. That was actually one of my first culture shock moments when I retired. "How much do you want?" Hell, why don't you just tell me what you're paying?

I'll be sane until around 10:30am EST, then all bets are off.
