An interesting study about the N.Y. Times indicates how subtly the Times enhances Democrats' status vs. Republican status.
Ben Carson is referred to as "Dr." in 12.1% of mentions about him. On the other hand, blowfish Joe Biden's wife, who has a doctorate in Education, Jill Biden is referred to as "Dr." in 23% of mentions about her.
Perhaps having an Ed.D deserves more respect from the Times than being a pediatric neurosurgeon from Johns Hopkins. Or could it be because he is a black Republican?
