And now over 1,000 police groups are on board with the boycott, which will hopefully also enlighten many others to the issue.

Harvey Weinstein is said to be furious at Quentin Tarantino for going to an anti-police rally on Oct. 24 and calling cops “murderers.”

With police groups now calling for a boycott of the director’s “The Hateful Eight,” sources say Weinstein wants Tarantino to apologize, or at least walk back his comments.

“The last thing Harvey needs is a boycott that will scare off Oscar voters and hurt the box office,” said one insider.

The movie is set to open on Christmas Day, just in time to qualify for the Academy Awards.

The politically active Weinstein, a staunch Democrat, has produced many of Tarantino’s movies since “Pulp Fiction” in 1994, and Weinstein has referred to his distribution company Miramax as “the house that Quentin built.”

The police boycott of Quentin Tarantino‘s “The Hateful Eight” has received the endorsement of the National Association of Police Organizations — a group representing 1,000 police units and associations and over 241,000 sworn law enforcement officers.

Not only does the organization support the protesting unions — which has spread to including cops in New York City, Los Angeles, Houston, New Jersey, Chicago and Philadelphia — it is discouraging police officers from engaging in promotional efforts and any future productions that routinely need the assistance of law enforcement, even for off-duty work.

“We ask officers to stop working special assignments or off-duty jobs, such as providing security, traffic control or technical advice for any of Tarantino’s projects,” a statement on NAPO’s website said.

While I really like that Mr. Weinstein said all this, I don't think there is a chance that any apology from Tarantino could be even a smidge sincere. He was much too hateful about his statements.

Which is to say, it wouldn't make any difference to me if he did so.

Is Weinstein a complete moron (rhetorical question, of course)? Oh sure....that'll fix everything. Private screenings for cops and cops' families for another rabid, anti-cop piece of crap film designed to only further demonize police officers and to divide and destroy America. Uh huh.

Weinstein was said to be considering conciliatory moves, such as special screenings of “The Hateful Eight” for police officers and their families.

These idiots on the left need to be taught a lesson. A very harsh lesson. Like....yesterday.
