Someone at the VA gets stupid and/or lazy, declares a living veteran to be dead and ends their benefits. Without any kind of notice. The poor guy notices he is no longer getting a check and has to fight a long battle to get the VA to restore.
You can just call or show up and say you are living. You have to provide documentation that proves you are not dead.
How often does this happen to a veteran? The entire VA system needs to be overhauled.

You're sharp. Finally snap to the fact the VA sucks? How old are you?

Should have seen how they treated Vietnam vets. Y'all like to talk a bunch of crap but we get treated like shit. Y'all begin and end with "we support the troops".
