View Full Version : Comparies that indirectly support terrorism

I was reading a couple of stories about the global web hosting company CloudFlare. It seems that the vast majority of Islamic extremist web sites are hosted by CloudFlare. In addition to message services.
When questioned about hosting terrorist sites, CloudFlare has repeatedly invoked the rights of free speech to all, and stated that it is "not allowed to regulate what is posted on its servers."
Even the U.S. government was rebuked by CloudFare's management:

"the US Government is not in the business of labeling websites as dangerous”

Attempts to take down or launch web attacks on the terrorist communication kavkazcenter.com were answered by the CloudFare's "Always Online" technology.

This page (http://www.kavkazcenter.com/eng/) is currently offline. However, because the site uses CloudFlare’s Always Online™ technology you can continue to surf a snapshot of the site. We will keep checking in the background and, as soon as the site comes back, you will automatically be served the live version. Always Online™ is powered by CloudFlare

More proof that, to some companies, profits will always be more important than global security.
