I just bought my son a new gaming card for his computer, for his birthday today. It's a Radeon R9 something or other? Damn thing is HUGE, like 3 times his old card size, 2 big built on fans and you need to connect 2 power adapters to it in addition to using the Pci slot. This is a much better gpu and double the memory and also the new gddr5 memory crap.

Nice card! Nothing on his machine stutters in the slightest. One of his fancier games would stutter on loading, and a little during gameplay here and there. No more of that, perfectly smooth. I don't care about the games, so I tested out some intensive HD flicks and man did they look good! Pricey cared, but worth the upgrade.

It's for the kid. But it is an awesome video card. And the kid does have to go to school eventually!
