Barry Bonds is one step closer to returning to baseball. The Miami Marlins have offered Bonds a job as a hitting coach and he reportedly has tentative plans to accept.

With the impending return of Barry Bonds' return to baseball, discussions are on about the greatest hitter ever. I am not a big baseball fan. I find it boring. But I clearly remember Barry Bonds and his run of being the most fearful hitter ever. Maybe he was at that time pumped up on steroids, but he still had to put the bat on the ball. And even before his alleged steroid usage, he was a great player.
When I agreed to help coach a T-ball team, I started trying to learn about baseball. One of the books I ran across and read was

I later read quite a bit about Ted Williams and I decided that HE was the greatest hitter ever.
