I just caught this on AOL, and googled the subject.

Seems to be quite interesting:

I am not a science expert, but if this is true - what a revolution it will be!

Not going to be worth it. I CAN tell you what sand will do to an internal combustion engine. Ask Jimmy Carter who didn't have desert filters on his Delta Force birds. Not one of them made it to where they were going.

I know how that is. Our helo's did not like landing on beaches, plus the rotors early
on could get delaminated by it until they improved them.
