Moon Has Now Fallin', Night Skies Cry

Alas! Moon has now fallin', night skies cry,
Songbirds stop callin' and we may wonder why!
Yet our days were spent in such idle sprees
So like dead leaves fallin', from winter trees.

Night skies will shine dimmer on our world,
We the many, will miss dearly, our poetic girl.
And in sad and private songs hold our grief,
Praying this great loss be, but ever so brief!

Where dark sky cast shadows upon cold ground,
Miss will be that treasure once was found.
And much sadder songs campfires may inspire
Nights lonely, in missing moon's bright fire!

Alas! Moon has now fallin', night skies cry,
Songbirds stop callin' and we wonder why!
Yet our days were spent in such idle sprees
So like dead leaves fallin', from winter trees.

Robert J. Lindley, 12-24, 2015

Dedicated to Skat A, in lieu of sending a late
Christmas present.
Trust me, too long I avoided and too short I did
not even dare.
For this write is to a beauty, whose spirit shines,
ever so exceedingly fair!
And dare not this poet, to be so badly remiss , as to
not praise her beautiful and extremely talented sis'.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
